Simple Beef Recipe

Beef Chukka / ബീഫ് ചുക്ക is a simple yet delicious Beef fry recipe. Beef Chukka goes well with Steamed Rice, Ghee Rice etc. Tryout this yummy Beef dish at your home.

Beef protein is highly nutritious and may promote muscle maintenance and growth. Beef is a rich source of high-quality protein and various vitamins and minerals, and can be an excellent component of a healthy diet.

Ingredients

  • Beef - 500 gm
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
  • Ginger - 1 tbsp ( crushed )
  • Garlic - 1/2 tsp ( crushed )
  • Green chilly - 4 nos
  • Onion - 2 nos ( chopped )
  • Curry leaves - 2 Spring
  • Coconut oil - 5 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves - 4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Clean and cut the beef into small pieces.

Step 2

Take a bowl and marinate beef with coriander powder, chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Keep it for 1 hour.

Step 3

Heat a pressure cooker and add marinated beef and cook for about 4 whistles until it is cooked. Do not add water as the beef contains enough water to cook the beef.

Step 4

Once the cooker has cooled down, open it and cook on a medium flame till all the water has evaporated and the beef is nicely coated with the gravy.

Step 5

Heat 4 tbsp of coconut oil in a pan. Transfer the cooked beef into it and fry well. Remove the beef to a plate.

Step 6

In the same pan, add 1 tbsp of oil and fry the chopped onion, ginger, garlic and curry leaves. Saute till the onion turns light brown and the raw smell goes.

Step 7

Transfer fried beef into it and add lemon juice. Saute well for 5 minutes on a medium flame.

Step 8

Finally add coriander leaves into it and mix well. Switch off the flame.

Step 9

Tasty Beef Chukka is ready.
