Due to the small fascinating shapes kids will love these and enjoy this healthy breakfast. Try to make this idli and give surprises to your kids.
- 1 cup Urad Dal (Uzhunnu Parippu / Black gram)
- 2 cup Idli Rice (Puzhungal Ari / Parboiled rice)
- 2 spoon Rice cooked with parboiled rice
- Salt to taste
Wash and soak urad dal and rice in water overnight or for 8 hours.
After 8 hours of soaking, grind urad dal, rice and cooked rice with water into a smooth and forthy batter.
Keep the batter aside for minimum 8 hours for fermentation.
After 8 hours the idli batter is ready to cook.
Grease the idli mould very lightly with coconut oil & fill 3/4 of each mould.
Steam idly for 10 minutes. Take out from flame and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Then remove the idly from mould to a serving plate.
