Sandwich is one of the typical popular lunch box item for office, schools and picnics. Sandwich is an item consisting of 2 or more filling kept between 2 slice of bread. The filling can be as per your taste. You can have meat, fish or vegetable filling along with variety of sauce or bread spreads or cheese.

Crispy fried vegetable sandwich which I make at home consist of fried potatoes and onion marinated in soya and tomato sauce.

Try it!!!

Ingredients

  • 3 medium size potato cut into thin slice
  • 1 onion sliced as rings
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tbsp black pepper powder
  • 1 egg
  • Salt to taste
  • Corn flakes
  • Bread Slice

Method

Step 1

Mix soya sauce, tomato sauce, black pepper, egg and salt to taste.

Step 2

Coat sliced potato and onion rings with above mixture and keep aside for 15 minutes.

Step 3

Crush corn flakes with hands. No need to make fine powder.

Step 4

Roll each slice in corn flakes and deep fry in oil.

Step 5

Once the potatoes and onions are golden brown, take them out on a tissue paper so that the oil is soaked by the tissue paper.

Step 6

Keep the fried vegetables between bread slices. Serve with tomato ketchup.
