Easter eggs, also called Paschal eggs, are decorated eggs that are often given to celebrate Easter. Easter eggs have been associated with the Christian festival of Easter, which celebrates the resurrection of Christ. Traditionally Easter eggs were made with hen or duck eggs, decorated at home in bright colours using vegetable dye and charcoal.
