“A recipe has no soul, you as the cook must bring soul to the recipe”
Having said this quote presenting to you Hara Bhara Fish Tikka which is beautiful, nutritious, delicious and can be presented in your own creative ways. One of the main ingredient in the recipe is mint leaves and coriander leaves. Both are great appetizers and it promotes digestion.
I have made Hara bhara Fish Tikka with Dory fish fillet. I prefer fish without skin to make tikkas. As per my experience removing skin reduces the fishy smell while grilling! What is your opinion?
Cooking Hara Bhara Fish Tikka in cooking range saves your time because in one go we can grill at least 1 & 1/2 KG fish together. After we set the grill for 40 minutes we can parallely do other work which saves the time.

- Coriander leaves - 1 cup (100 ml size)
- Yoghurt - 2 tbsp
- Green chilli - 6 nos (Add more as per taste)
- Cumin seed powder - 1/2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp

- Ingredients for Garnishing
Onion - 1 no
- Coriander leaves - a small bunch
- Olive oil - 3 tbsp
Marinate the fish well with marinate paste and refrigerate for 1/2 an hour. This is done so that all the marinate gets stick to the fish nicely.
Preheat the oven to 270 degree for 10 minutes.
Place the fish pieces on the grill and cook for 30 minutes. Place an onion along for grilling which will be used for garnishing.
After 30 minutes take out the grill and brush oil over fish pieces. No need to turn the fish pieces on the grill. Gill for another 10 minutes.
Switch of flame and plate your yummy Hara Bhara Fish Tikka to serve hot with steamed rice or arabic bread and moutabel or with simple green chutney.
Tip: Do not throw the lemon peel left behind after taking the lemon juice. You can grill these along fish. This will spread a nice lemon smell while grilling.
