Pasta in white sauce is a delicious recipe which my daughter, husband and myself enjoy together. Moreover this pasta is included once in a week in my daughter’s lunch box.
The beauty of the recipe is in it’s easiness to prepare and rich in nutrition content as there are vegetables, milk and butter included in the recipe.
- 1 cup Pasta
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1/4 tbsp Garlic chopped
- 1 Carrot chopped
- 8 Beans chopped
- 1 Capsicum
- 1/4 cup chopped Cauliflower
- To prepare white sauce:
- All purpose flour or Maida - 10 big spoon - mixed well in 1/2 cup water
- Unsalted butter - 2 tbspn
- Milk - 1/4 cup
- Veg stock - 1 small dissolved in 1/4 cup water.
Cook pasta in water until soft yet firm enough to bite. Add a tsp of oil and salt while cooking pasta and keep it aside. Mean while the pasta is cooking, you can make the white sauce.
Heat pan and add butter. Once butter is melted, add flour mixed in water, vegetable stock mixed in water, salt to taste and bring to boil.
Then add milk by constantly stirring until the sauce thickens smoothly. Switch of the flame and the white sauce is ready.
In a thick bottomed pan, add 3 spoon of Olive oil. Once the oil is hot sauté garlic chopped for 10 seconds and cook the beans for 2 minutes.
Then add carrots and cauliflower. Sauté for another 2 minutes and add capsicum to this. Sauté all the vegetables together for 1 more minute.
Once vegetables are well cooked add the cooked pasta and mix well.
Final step is to mix the white sauce with the pasta and vegetable mixture. Check the salt. If require add as per taste. Now delicious pasta in white sauce is ready to serve.
If you want to make this spicy add white pepper as the last step.
