Ingredients

  • Pori / puffed rice - 3 cups
  • Jaggery - 1 cup
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom powder - a pinch
  • Ghee - 1 tsp

Method

Step 1

Heat jaggery with water, to make jaggery syrup, in a pan. When jaggery dissolves completely, switch off the flame and strain it to remove the impurities.

Step 2

Add cardamom powder to the jaggery syrup, and heat it again. Cook jaggery until it reaches one string consistency.

Step 3

Take the pori in a wide vessel and add jaggery syrup to the pori and mix well.

Step 4

Apply ghee on palm and make small balls from this mixture.

Step 5

Tasty Pori unda is ready to serve.
