Trifle pudding recipe | Easy pudding recipe

Trifle pudding is one of the quick and easy pudding that can be made within a short time. This pudding is prepared by using sponge cake. You can decorate the pudding very easily and quickly with fruits and nuts. Hence it can can be served for any kind of quick parties and celebration.

This classic pudding will have your kids showering you with love and asking for more again. By serving this delicious pudding can surprise the guests and make the events wonderful.

Ingredients

  • Milk - 1/2 litre
  • Custard powder ( vanilla flavour ) - 5 tbsp ( diluted in 1/2 cup of milk )
  • Fresh cream - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla sponge cake - 1 (cut into pieces)
  • Chopped fresh fruits - 2 cups ( mango, banana, apple )
  • Sugar syrup - 1 cup
  • Mixed fruit jam - 4 table spoon
  • Nuts - 1/4 cup ( chopped )
  • Whipped cream - 1 cup to decorate ( add sugar & vanilla essence for extra taste )
  • Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

Method

Step 1

How to make sugar syrup for the pudding: 1) Mix sugar and water in a wide vessel and keep in a low flame. 2) Stir the syrup in between. 3) Once the sugar is completely melted, keep it in a very low flame. 3) When the sugar syrup is ready, keep the syrup in warm.

Step 2

To make this pudding, first take a bowl then mix milk, fresh cream and sugar together. Bring it to boil.

Step 3

Pour the diluted vanilla custard powder and keep stirring in a low flame, make sure that no lumps are formed.

Step 4

Custard should be thick pouring consistency. Add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla essence and mix well. Take away from flame and allow it to cool.

Step 5

Dip the sponge cake pieces in sugar syrup.

Step 6

Mix chopped fruits, nuts and mixed fruit jam together to make a fruit mixture.

Step 7

Take a bowl then layer the sponge cake first. Then on the top with the fruit mixture. Pour the cooled custard.

Step 8

Decorate with whipped cream and fruit pieces.

Step 9

Tasty Trifle pudding is ready.
