Pineapple Lassi Recipe – Pineapple Yogurt Drink

Pineapple Lassi is a perfect treat for summer which is made with delicious pineapple and yogurt. The pineapple in the lassi gives it a nice texture and a delicious taste making it a refreshing drink. Lassi often contains seasonal fruit and spices.

Lassi is a popular traditional yogurt-based drink from Indian Subcontinent and originates from Punjab. Lassi is a blend of yogurt, water, spices and sometimes fruit. There are many variants to the basic lassi recipe. You can flavor with cardamom powder, saffron, dry fruits, nuts, fruits like mango, papaya, banana and more.

Pineapple is an excellent source of mineral manganese, which is an essential cofactor in a number of enzymes important in energy production and antioxidant defenses. High vitamin C content helps you heal wounds and injuries of the body quickly, along with defending against infections and illness.

Pineapple has directly been related to preventing cancers of the mouth, throat, and breast. Vitamin C is an important element that aids in preventing hair loss. It is a powerful antioxidant that combats free radical damage.

Ingredients

  • Pineapple pieces - 200 gm
  • Yogurt - 200 gm
  • Sugar - 3 tsp
  • Ice cubes - 5 nos
  • Cardamom powder - a pinch
  • Pistachios - 5 nos ( chopped )
  • Almonds - 5 nos ( chopped )

Method

Step 1

Peel the skin of pineapple and cut into small pieces.

Step 2

Take a blender add the pineapple pieces and blend until smooth. Add yogurt, cardamom powder and sugar to it, blend again for 3 minutes. Pour into the glasses.

Step 3

Refrigerate for 20 minutes and serve chilled with ice cubes.

Step 4

Decorate with chopped almond and pistachios.

Step 5

Tasty Pineapple Lassi is ready.
