Ingredients
Cut the bread slices into small squares. Heat a pan and add 1 tsp of butter then toast the bread pieces slightly for 2 minutes. Keep aside. Chop the onion, green chillies and tomato. Heat 2 tsp of oil and splutter mustard seeds. Then add chopped onions and green chillies. Saute on medium heat, until soft and tender. Add tomatoes, curry leaves, turmeric powder and sambar powder. Stir and cook the tomatoes until they turn lightly soft as well. Sprinkle some water. Add the fried bread pieces, salt and mix well. Then add ghee and cover with a lid. Cook for 3 minutes in a low flame. Finally sprinkle 1 tsp of lemon juice. Tasty Bread Upma is ready. Garnish with the coriander leaves. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.Method
