Caramel Custard Recipe / Flan Recipe / കാരമെൽ കസ്റ്റാർഡ്
Caramel Custard is a very popular dessert. It is easy to make and does not take much of your time. Caramel Custard is a creamy and scrumptious dessert made with caramelized sugar and custard. The ingredients are simple and easily available in your kitchen.
Caramel pudding is a custard dessert with a layer of soft caramel on top. The dish is famous throughout the world. Tryout this yummy and mouth watering sweet at your home.
- Milk - 500 ml
- Sugar - 50 gm
- Eggs - 4 nos
- Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
- Sugar - 20 gm ( for caramelizing )
- Water - 3 tbsp
Heat a pan on medium flame and add sugar, water and leave it untouched until the sugar melts down completely and turns slightly brown.
Pour caramelised sugar in a mold or pan and keep it aside.
Take a blender and add eggs, sugar and blend for a minute.
Pour the milk into it and blend again for two minutes.
Add vanilla essence into it and mix well. Now pour the milk egg mixture over the caramel and cover with foil.
Heat a steamer and place the custard in the steamer and close the lid. Once steam comes, lower the flame and cook for 10 minutes and then switch off fire. Leave it for another 5 minutes.
Allow it to cool down to room temperature. Run a knife around pan or mold to unmold custard. Invert into a plate and serve warm or cold.
Tasty Caramel Custard is ready.
