Chana chat (Chickpea) is a very healthy nutritious salad/Chat. Chana chat is very popular in India. I have used home made spice to add the flavor. Otherwise you can add chat masalaย which will be available in most of the Indian food supermarkets.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chick pea
  • 1/4 tbsp cumin seed powder
  • 1/4 tbsp Chilli powder
  • 2 pinch Garam masala
  • 3 pinch pepper powder
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 Green Chilly chopped
  • 1 tomato finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
  • 6 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Soak the chick pea overnight in water. Cook the chick pea in pressure cooker for 25 minutes.

Step 2

Switch of the flame and allow the pressure cooker to cool.

Step 3

Drain water and take the cooked chick peas.

Step 4

Add all the remaining ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate for 1/2 an hour so that the chat is chilled. Enjoy!!!
