Chilly Bread Recipe – ചില്ലി ബ്രെഡ് – Spicy Bread Stir Fry
Chilly Bread is a very easy and quick snack recipe which is extremely delicious. With just a few bread slices and some easily available ingredients from your kitchen and in no time you can prepare this tasty dish. This can be made in a few minutes and makes a perfect tea-time accompaniment.
Bread is a staple food prepared from a dough of flour and water, usually by baking. Bread is served in various forms with any meal of the day. It is eaten as a snack and used as an ingredient in other culinary preparations, such as sandwiches and fried items coated in bread crumbs to prevent sticking.

Ingredients
- Bread - 3 slices
- Green chilly - 3 nos ( chopped )
- Ginger - 1 small piece ( chopped )
- Onion - 1 no ( sliced )
- Tomato - 1 no ( chopped )
- Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
- Tomato sauce - 1 tsp
- Red chilly sauce - 1/2 tsp
- Sugar - 1/2 tsp
- Butter - 3 tsp
- Vegetable oil - 3 tsp
- Coriander leaves - few
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Heat 3 tsp of butter in a non-stick pan and place the bread slices on it. Toast on low flame until it becomes crisp. Flip the bread and toast the other side also until crisp. Then cut into small cubes and set aside.
Step 2
Heat 3 tsp of oil in a pan and add chopped ginger, garlic and green chilly. Saute this for 3 minutes on a low flame.
Step 3
Add sliced onions into it and saute well until it turns translucent. Add sliced tomatoes and saute until the tomatoes gets cooked.
Step 4
Add red chilly powder, salt, tomato sauce, red chilly sauce and sugar into it and stir well. Add toasted bread cubes into it and mix well.
Step 5
After bread pieces gets mixed up well with the masala, add chopped coriander leaves and stir well. Switch of the flame.
Step 6
Tasty Chilly Bread is ready.
