Eggless chocolate cake, as the name implies it does not have eggs in it, so can be enjoyed even by those who do not include eggs. It is so simple and can be prepared in a short period of time. Just mix all the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and bake.

This rich and moist chocolate cake is a treat for all chocolate cake lovers. Chocolate always has a nice, romantic feel to it, and nobody wants to miss out on anything chocolaty. Chocolate cakes can be made eggless too, and they can be just as soft as the ones you find at the bakery. If you are preparing cake for the first time then this is the cake you should begin with.

It is so simple to make. Try this!

Ingredients

  • All purpose flour (maida) - 1 1/2 cup
  • Powdered sugar - 1 cup
  • Cocoa powder - 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Baking soda - 3/4 tsp
  • Unsalted melted butter - 1/3 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Unsalted butter - 75 gm
  • Icing sugar - 140 gm
  • Milk - 2 tbsp
  • Cherries - 50gm

Method

Step 1

In a bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and coco powder.

Step 2

Add melted butter, milk and vanilla essence. With a fork blend all the ingredients together until well blended.

Step 3

Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Pour the batter in the baking tin. Bake in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes.

Step 4

Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.

Step 5

When the cake is cooled we decorate it with butter icing. Mix unsalted butter, milk and icing sugar to a smooth paste like consistency. Pour it on the cake and decorate with some cherries.

Step 6

The yummy chocolate cake is ready to be served.
