Ingredients
- Eggs - 4 nos (boiled and quartered)
- Cornflour - 5 tbsp
- Ginger - 1 small piece (chopped)
- Garlic - 4-5 cloves (chopped)
- Spring Onions - 5 stalks (chopped)
- Dry Red Chilly - 3 nos
- Red Chilly Sauce - 2 tbsp
- Soya Sauce - 1/2 tsp
- Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp
- Capsicum - 1/2 piece
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Honey - 1 tbsp
- Vegetable Oil - 2 cups (for deep frying)
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Heat vegetable oil in a pan.
Step 2
Take a bowl and add two tablespoon of cornflour and three tablespoon of water and make a thick batter.
Step 3
Sprinkle about two teaspoons of cornflour over the quartered eggs.
Step 4
Dip the quartered egg pieces in the batter of cornflour and fry it in the oil till it turns golden brown. Cook on medium flame.
Step 5
Once done, transfer the fried eggs to a paper tissue and keep it aside.
Step 6
Now heat two tablespoon of oil in another pan and add dry red chilly. Saute for a minute.
Step 7
Then add chopped ginger, capsicum and garlic into it. Saute for another minute.
Step 8
Add the chopped spring onions, red chilly sauce, soya sauce, salt, honey and lemon juice into it. Mix well and saute for 4 minutes on medium flame.
Step 9
Now add the fried egg pieces to it and mix well.
Step 10
Add one tablespoon of cornflour batter and mix well. Cook for 3 minutes and then switch off the flame.
Step 11
Once done, transfer the crispy honey chilly eggs to a serving plate and garnish with chopped spring onions.
Step 12
Crispy Honey Chilly Eggs are ready to be served.
