  • Water - 1 cup
  • Beef - 250 gm
  • Green chillies - 5 nos
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Onion - 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Coconut oil/ vegetable oil - 3 cups

Method

Step 1

Take a bowl add maida, dalda, salt and water (add water little by little while you mix the flour). Mix well. The dough should be as similar to the chappathi or puri dough.

Step 2

Take a pressure cooker. Add beef, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, salt, coriander powder along with 1 cup water. Cook for 5 minutes. Switch off the flame.

Step 3

Then shred the cooked beef using a mixer grinder.

Step 4

Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion, green chillies and cook for 3 minutes.

Step 5

Add the beef mixture and garam masala and saute on low heat till the beef is fully dry.

Step 6

Knead the maida dough again. Pinch off some dough and make small balls. Take a ball and roll it out with rolling pins. Make sure that the thickness is even. The dough should be thin but not too thin. Add 2 tsp of beef filling on one side, cover with the other side of the dough and pinch the edges together on a pattern to make a crescent shape.

Step 7

Heat oil in a pan and when it is hot add the adas/ dumplings one by one and fry on medium low heat till the ada turn golden brown. Crunchy beef ada is ready to serve.
