Fish Fry with Bread Crumbs is a simple and delicious fry recipe and also very easy to make. Marination for the fish is to absorb all the flavours and spice.
A fish fry is a dish containing battered or breaded fried fish. The breading or batter used to coat the fish affect the flavour and the crispiness of the cooked fish. When the breading hits the hot oil, it cooks quickly and seals it to the fish fillet. The ingredients used for a basic fish breading are commonly found in most kitchens, making it a simple dish to prepare.

- Fish pieces ( Chemballi Fish ) - 1/2 kg
- Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
- Lemon juice - 2 tsp
- Plain flour - 5 tbsp
- Egg - 1no
- Bread crumbs - 1 cup ( 5 slices )
- Salt to taste
Clean/wash the fish, cut it into medium size pieces and drain the water.
Take a bowl and add ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, salt and mix well.
Marinate the cleaned fish pieces with the paste and keep it for 1 hour.
Beat egg well with a spoon and keep it in a small bowl.
Add bread slices in the blender and pulse a few times. Transfer the bread crumbs to a flat dish or plate.
Dip each fish pieces in egg, then in plain flour and coat in bread crumbs.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry on both sides till golden brown.
Drain oil using a paper towel.
