Fish tikka is a typical North Indian recipe grilled in oven after marinating the Fish with mint, spices and yoghurt. This is a delicious spicy Fish recipe which can be eaten with Biriyani, Butter Nan, Kulcha or any other breads.
You can use any Fleshy Fish after removing the skin and Fish bones. I have used King Fish.
- Fish - 1 kg
- 1/2 cup mint leaves
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 1/4 tbsp cumin seed powder
- 1 cup thick yoghurt
- 4 tbsp corn flour
- 6 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
- 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tbsp pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- For Garnishing:
- 1/2 cup finely chopped mint leaves
- Unsalted butter as per taste
The Fish has to be first marinated for 2 hours with paste of mint leaves, coriander leaves, cumin seed powder, ginger, garlic, thick yoghurt, corn flour, lime juice, Kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder and salt to taste.
For marination keep this in refrigerator for 2 hours.
After 2 hours, keep the marinated Fish Tikka out of the fridge for 1/2 an hour to bring the marinated Fish to room temperature.
Then grill the fish piece in electric grill until the fish is cooked well.
Once cooked plate the Fish tikka by garnishing with unsalted butter and chopped coriander leaves.
The spicy Fish Tikka is ready to be served.
