Fried Rice Flour Rings – Homemade Snack Recipe

Fried Rice Flour Rings is very crispy and crunchy.ย This is made of rice flour with grated coconut, green chilies, curry leaves and fried in coconut oil. It looks crispy outside and soft inside. It is very tasty when we eat it right after it is made and it cannot be stored for later. This can be served at evenings with tomato sauce as snacks.

Ingredients

  • Rice flour - 1 cup (roasted)
  • Onion - 1no (chopped)
  • Grated coconut โ€“ 1/2 cup
  • Green chilies โ€“ 2 nos (chopped)
  • Curry leaves โ€“ 1sprig
  • Salt to taste
  • Boiling water - 3/4 cup
  • Coconut oil - 3 cup

Method

Step 1

Add rice flour, chopped onion, grated coconut, chopped green chilies, curry leaves, salt in a bowl and mix well with a spoon.

Step 2

To this add boiled water and mix well. Keep it aside.

Step 3

knead the dough to a smooth and soft dough.

Step 4

Wet your palm with water and take small amount of dough and make a lime size ball. Gently flatten it with your wet fingers and make a hole in the middle.

Step 5

Heat coconut oil in a pan. Deep fry the dough in medium heat oil until light golden brown appear on both sides.

Step 6

Tasty Fried Rice Flour Rings is ready.

Step 7

Serve hot with ketchup.
