If you wish to give some healthy food for your baby, here is a simple homemade baby food recipe – Broken wheat porridge. This food item is very delicious and very easy to prepare at home with less ingredients.

Broken wheat is low in calories but fully loaded with nutrients. Consuming wheat is good to control weight, type 2 diabetes, cancer & to prevent against cardiovascular diseases.

Ingredients

  • Broken wheat - 1 cup
  • Milk - 3/4 cup
  • Sugar - 3 tsp
  • Water - 1 cup

Method

Step 1

Clean and wash the broken wheat in water.

Step 2

Soak the broken wheat in water for 5 hours.

Step 3

After 5 hours grind the soaked wheat for 3 minutes with water in a grinder.

Step 4

Strain the milk like water from wheat into a bowl using a strainer.

Step 5

Take a pan then add milk, sugar and strained milk like water from wheat. Mix well.

Step 6

Heat this mixture in a medium flame and stir continuously.

Step 7

When the mixture turns to a thick form, switch off the flame and allow it to cool.

Step 8

Tasty Godhambu Kurukku / Wheat cereal is ready.
