Ingredients
- Beetroot - 2 nos
- Sugar - 3/4 cup
- Lime - 1/4 piece
- Water - 1/2 cup
Method
Step 1
Wash and peel the Beetroots and cut them into cubes.
Step 2
Heat a pressure cooker, add beetroots, water and cook for 2 whistles.
Step 3
Once it gets cooled, grind it in a blender or mixer grinder into fine paste.
Step 4
Heat a heavy bottom pan. Add beetroot paste and sugar. Mix them well.
Step 5
Stir continuously and cook them for 10 minutes in a medium flame. You can see the whole content will start to leave the sides of the pan.
Step 6
When the jam begins to get thick, reduce the heat to low and stir it continuously for a few more minutes.
Step 7
Add the lime juice in it and stir well. Switch off the flame and allow to cool.
Step 8
Tasty Beetroot Jam is ready.
