Garlic pickle is a very tasty pickle and it is easy to make. It is really spicy and hot.
Ingredients
- Garlic cloves peeled - 1/2 cup
- Kashmiri chilli powder - 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Mustard seed - 1/4 tsp
- Cumin seed - 1/4 tsp
- Fenugreek seed - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Sugar - 1/4 tsp
- White vinegar - 2 tsp
- Gingelly oil (sesame seed) - 3 tsp
- Hing (asafoetida) powder - 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves - 2 string
- Water - 1 cup
Method
Step 1
Clean and wash garlic with water.
Step 2
Heat a pan add garlic, turmeric powder, salt, sugar and water. Cook for 4 minutes.
Step 3
Take a pan add 1 tsp gingelly oil and add mustard seed, fenugreek seed, cumin seed and fry for 2 minutes. Then grind it to a fine smooth paste using a blender.
Step 4
Heat the remaining oil in a pan and add curry leaves, grinded paste, Kashmiri chilly powder, cooked garlic and hing powder. Cook for 3 minutes.
Step 5
Finally add white vinegar and mix well. Spicy hot garlic pickle is ready to serve.
