Mangoes are all time favorite of everyone. As this is the season of mangoes, try and taste new variety recipes of mangoes. It is very simple and easy recipe with mango. You only need milk, mangoes and sugar. Add some pistachios, almonds, cardamon for a nice flavor and aroma.

Ingredients

  • Milk - 1 litre
  • Mangoes - 2 nos
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom - 3 pods
  • Almonds - 10 nos
  • Pistachios - 5 nos
  • Saffron - 10 threads

Method

Step 1

Peel the mangoes and blend them in blender.

Step 2

Boil milk in a large deep pan, stirring occasionally. When milk starts boiling, reduce heat and continue stirring.

Step 3

Add sugar and saffron threads. Stir frequently, till milk reduces to 2/3 in volume.

Step 4

Add powdered cardamom seeds. Boil further for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Add the mango puree to the thickened milk.

Step 6

Finally add chopped almonds and pistachios over it and mix well and keep the mango basundi in the fridge for half an hour.

Step 7

The yummy Mango Basundi is ready to serve.

Step 8

Serve chilled. Garnish it with chopped almonds and pistachios.
