Mango Pola Recipe – Mango Cake Recipe – മാങ്ങ പോള
Mango Pola is a delicious and authentic Malabar dish. It is an easy Malabar snack prepared during Ramadan season. You can find out too many varieties of ‘Pola’ preparation in Malabar like Mutta Pola, Kadalakka Pola and Ari Pola.
It is a simple snack prepared with mango pulp, egg and all purpose flour. We can prepare it very quickly with the simple ingredients available at home. Try out this yummy Ramadan snack at your home.
- Mango pulp - 200 gm ( 1 cup )
- All purpose flour - 100 gm ( 1/2 cup )
- Egg - 1 no
- Baking soda - a pinch
- Sugar - 50 gm ( 1/3 cup )
- Vanilla essence - 1/4 tsp
- Ghee - 2 tsp
- Salt - a pinch
Take a bowl and add 3 eggs and beat well with hand mixer.
Once it puffed up, add sugar into it and beat again.
Then add the mango pulp to it and beat well to make fluffy. For preparing mango pulp, peel and cut the mangoes into small pieces and make puree in blender ( without water ).
Then add all purpose flour, baking soda, vanilla essence and a pinch of salt into it and mix slowly with a spoon.
Heat ghee in a round bottom non-stick pan on a low flame.
Pour the prepared mixture into the pan. Close the lid and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
Use a toothpick to check the cake. Insert the toothpick in the center of the cake. The cake is properly cooked if the toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
After 10 minutes, switch off the flame. Transfer it to a plate and let it cool.
Tasty Mango Pola is ready.
