Milk Powder Burfi Recipe – Simple and Delicious Sweet Recipe
Milk Powder Burfi Recipe is an easy dessert made using milk powder. Milk powder can also be used to make Indian sweets like Halwa and Burfi. This is a very quick sweet recipe which can be prepared within 20 minutes and it comes out very well.
Milk is a wholesome and complete food, that is widely considered part of a balanced diet. Milk powder is also fortified with Vitamins A and D. Vitamin A helps improve vision whereas Vitamin D helps in the formation of bones. Both the Vitamins play an important role in maintenance and repair of skin. The calcium present in it promotes growth and maintenance of teeth and bones throughout life.
Try this delicious dish at home.
- Milk powder - 250 gm
- Sugar - 50 gm
- Milk - 200 ml
- Butter - 50 gm
- Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
- Cashew nuts - 10 nos
- Raisins - 10 nos
Heat ghee in a nonstick pan, and then add milk powder, milk and mix with spoon.
Add sugar and mix well making sure everything is combined. Stir continuously on low flame with no lumps formed. In 2 minutes the ghee will start to leave the sides of the pan.
Keep stirring on low flame till milk thickens. The milk forms dough after stirring for 10 minutes. Now the dough separates from the pan.
Add 1/4 tsp cardamom powder and combine well. Switch off the flame.
Pour it in a pan greased with butter and top it with raisins and nuts. Allow to set for 2 hours or till it sets completely. Now unmould and cut into pieces. Tasty Milk Powder Burfi is ready.
