Nelllikka Chammanthi is a delicious, healthy and easy to make chammanthi recipe. It is a very simple dish which anyone could give a try. It is good in controlling blood pressure, reducing cholesterol and also for improving the immunity.

Nellikka is highly rich in Vitamin C besides it is very effective against diseases like diabetes, liver diseases, constipation. It is used in many hair tonics because it enriches hair growth and hair pigmentation. Drinking Nelllikka juice with honey is good for improving eyesight. It contains chromium, which has a therapeutic value for diabetic patients. Indian Gooseberry stimulates the isolated group of cells that secrete the hormone insulin, thereby reducing blood sugar in diabetic patients and keeping their body balanced and healthy. Gooseberry is a useful component in remedies for diarrhea and dysentery.

Ingredients

  • Nelllikka - 4 nos
  • Grated coconut - 300 gm
  • Shallots - 4 nos
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
  • Green chilly - 4 nos
  • Curry leaves - 5 nos
  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Wash and remove seeds from nellikka and cut into small pieces.

Step 2

Take a blender and add nellikka pieces, grated coconut, ginger, green chillies, shallots, curry leaves and salt. Blend this for 5 minutes without adding water to it.

Step 3

Transfer this into a bowl.

Step 4

Tasty Nellikka Chammanthi is ready.
