Saucy Prawns Recipe / Sweet and Sour Prawns Recipe
Saucy Prawns are so quick and easy to make at home. This is such a simple dish made with delicious prawns and a sweet and sour sauce. It is a tasty stir fry that is ready in minutes.
Prawns are a great source of protein, important vitamins and minerals that make up a healthy diet. Prawns are rich in omega 3 fatty acids which are good for our heart.
Try out this yummy prawns dish at your home
- Prawns - 10 nos
- Garlic - 5 nos ( minced )
- Ginger - 1 piece ( sliced thinly )
- Red chilly - 3 nos ( sliced thinly )
- Tomato ketchup - 5 tbsp
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Soy sauce - 1 tsp
- Vinegar - 1/2 tsp
- Vegetable oil - 5 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Clean and devein the prawns.
Marinate the prawns with salt and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
Heat 3 tbsp of vegetable oil in a pan and shallow fry the prawns.
In a small bowl, add soy sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, sugar and mix well.
In a pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil and add garlic, ginger, red chilly and cook for 3 minutes. Now, pour prepared sauce into it and bring to boil.
Add fried prawns into it and stir well to coat evenly and cook for 5 minutes on a low flame. Switch off the flame.
Tasty Saucy Prawns is ready.
