Sweet tamarinds are now easily available at market. You can also add lemon juice or rose water as you prefer for a nice aroma and flavor.ย

Ingredients

  • Tamarind ( เดตเดพเดณเตปเดชเตเดณเดฟ ) - 50 gm
  • Water - 5 cups
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Lemon juice - half lemon (Optional)
  • Rose water - 1 teaspoon (Optional)

Method

Step 1

Soak tamarind in 5 cups of water for 2 hours. Squeeze out the pulp and discard the seeds and fibers.

Step 2

Strain the pulp through a fine sieve and keep it aside.

Step 3

Blend water with 1 cup of sugar in a blender.
If you prefer, you can add lemon juice or rose water.
Add more sugar as per your taste.

Step 4

Keep this mix in the fridge for at least one hour.

Step 5

Take a glass, add 1 cup of tamarind juice and 1 cup of cold water.
Note: Adjust water as per your taste.

Step 6

Refreshing and tasty sweet tamarind drink is ready. Enjoy!!!
