Tandoori Chicken – Delicious Homemade Chicken Recipe
Tandoori Chicken is a popular dish in India which consists of roasted chicken prepared with lot of spices and yogurt. This spicy chicken dish is super delicious, soft and juicy. Try out this mouth watering dish at your home.
Chicken in almost any form is great for your health. It is a great source of lean and low fat protein. It is quite interesting to know that chicken can prevent Osteoporosis or Arthritis during senior years. Chicken is also rich in phosphorus which helps to maintain strong teeth and bones.
- Skinned Chicken Pieces - 5 nos
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp
- Curd - 100 gm
- Red Chilly Powder - 2 tbsp
- Tandoori Masala - 2 tbsp
- Garam Masala - 1 tsp
- Cumin and Coriander Seeds (ground) - 1 tsp
- Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
- Sunflower Oil - 2 tbsp
- Kasoori Methi - 1 tsp
- Water - 3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Wash chicken pieces and then pat dry using paper towel.
Beat curd with a spoon and add ginger garlic paste, kasoori methi, red chilly powder, tandoori masala, garam masala into it and mix well.
Add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, salt, lemon juice, half a tablespoon of oil, water in a blender and grind well. Add this to the curd mixture and mix well. The marinade is ready.
Make gashes all over on chicken using knife. Marinate the chicken pieces with the paste and leave it overnight in the fridge. Remove chicken 30 minutes before you want to bake it.
Preheat the microwave oven to 350 degrees and meanwhile brush some oil on the chicken pieces. Place the marinated chicken pieces in a microwave dish or grill rack and put them on microwave.
Switch on the grill and cook for 20 minutes on one side. Turn it around after draining the oil and cook for another 15 minutes. Switch off the microwave.
Tasty Tandoori Chicken is ready.
Serve Tandoori Chicken hot with onion rings and freshly chopped coriander leaves.
