Tomato Soup ( തക്കാളി സൂപ്പ് ) is a popular soup in many countries. Tomato is A.K.A ‘thakkali’ in Malayalam language. Everyone likes to enjoy the taste of the thakkali soup. This soup is made with juicy red tomatoes and it is very tasty.
This recipe won’t take more than 25 minutes, and depending upon how fast you chop the ingredients. At the same time it is very healthy also. It is low in fat and high in vitamins and minerals. It helps to regulate weight loss, cancer etc.

Ingredients
Heat butter in a pressure cooker then add bay leaves, chopped garlic and stir well. Add chopped tomatoes and 1 cup of water. Cook for 2 whistles in a pressure cooker. Discard the skin of tomatoes and take out the bay leaf ( കറുവയില ). Using mixer grinder blend without water. Strain this mixture using a strainer to remove the seeds. Take a pan and add the tomato soup, bay leaf, sugar, red chilly powder, salt, chopped celery, chopped coriander leaves. Boil it for 5 minutes. Add the corn flour and 1 tbsp of water then mix well. Let it simmer in medium flame for 5 minutes until the tomato soup gains its red colour and boil until the soup become thick. Switch off the flame. Transfer it to a bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves and cream ( Amul fresh cream ) for an extra taste and flavour. Tasty tomato soup is ready....so....yummy....Method
