Here is a simple and tasty recipe from my kitchen for prawn lovers. If you love prawn, you will love this recipe. You can make this with less ingredients and less time. Try to make this delicious dish at your kitchen using this simple recipe. Enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • Dry Prawn - 250 gm
  • Shallots - 6 (crushed)
  • Curry leaves - 10 leaves
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Coconut oil - as required
  • Salt - as required

Method

Step 1

Clean and wash dry prawn and drain it.

Step 2

Heat a pan, add prawns to it and saute in a medium heat till all the water has evaporated from it.

Step 3

When the prawn is free of water, pour some oil and saute in a medium heat till it becomes half crispy (a light brown color). Keep it aside to a corner of the pan.

Step 4

Add crushed shallots and curry leaves. Add oil if necessary and saute till it turns to brown color. Mix it with prawn and saute.

Step 5

Add red chilly powder just before 1 minute before you turn off the flame. Saute it well.

Step 6

Finally add salt. Check whether you need to add it or not as it is put while drying the prawns.

Step 7

Tasty, crispy Onakka Chemmeen Varuthathu is ready to serve.
