This Hog Plum Brine will help to preserve Ambazhanga ( เด เดฎเตเดชเดดเดเตเด )ย or Hog Plum for a long time using natural ingredients. Moreover it is a traditional recipe and at the same time very easy to prepare.
ย Ingredients
Wash Hog Plums or Ambazhanga very well in running water. Meanwhile boil water and add salt. Put Hog plums or Ambazhanga into boiling water and switch off flame. Add slit green Chilli's into it and allow it to cool. Remove 1/4 cup water and add 1/4 cup vinegar. Check salt and add more if required as per your taste. Once water cools transfer all the contents into a jar. Tight the lid and keep aside for a week. After a week you can use the Ambazhanga Uppilittathu or Hog Plum Brine as a side-dish for parboiled rice.Method
