Ingredients
Soak the rice for one hour, wash well and grind coarse with grated coconut. Boil the jaggery in a little water and strain to remove impurities. Heat a pan and pour 1 cup of water. Add the grinded rice and coconut and cook on a medium flame. Stir continuously and make sure no lumps are formed. Add the strained jaggery and milk, bring to boil and then remove from fire. Heat 2 tsp ghee in a pan and roast the cashew nuts and raisins. Serve hot. Sprinkle the cardamom powder and and decorate with roasted cashew nuts and raisins. Tasty Aracha Payasam is ready.
