Banana Bread Balls Recipe – Quick & Easy Snack Recipe
Banana Bread Balls is a delicious sweet snack which is made with ingredients that are commonly available in our kitchen. Ripe plantain and bread are the main ingredients for making this sweet treat.
Bananas are a good source of Potassium, an essential mineral for maintaining normal blood pressure and heart function. They are rich in Calcium, Phosphorus, Iron and Fiber, with no cholesterol. Creamy, rich and sweet bananas are favorite food for everyone from infants to elders..
Try this delicious snack at home.
- Bread slices - 5 slices
- Ripe plantain ( Ethapazham ) - 2 nos ( chopped )
- Coconut grated - 5 tbsp
- Sugar - 4 tsp
- Cashew nuts - 10 nos ( chopped )
- Raisins - 10 nos
- Milk - 4 tbsp
- Ghee - 5 tsp
- Egg - 1 no ( beaten )
- Bread crumbs - 100 gm
- Vegetable oil - 200 ml
Heat a pan and add ghee. Add cashew nuts and raisins into it and fry for 3 minutes. Add grated coconut and sugar into it and cook for 5 minutes on a low flame.
Add beaten egg into the above mixture and mix well. Cook this for 3 minutes. Add chopped banana pieces into it and cook this for 5 minutes on a low flame. Switch off the flame.
Take milk in a bowl.
Remove the sides of the bread. Flatten each bread slice using a rolling pin. Dip each slice in milk (do not dip completely).
Then stuff it with stir-fried banana mixture. Make it into balls and roll it over the bread crumbs.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan and deep fry the banana bread balls till both the sides turn golden in colour.
Tasty Banana Bread Balls is ready.
