Ingredients
- Cabbage - 2 cups chopped in thin and straight cut
- Onion - 1 cup chopped
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tbsp
- Red chilli Powder - 1/4 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder - 3 Pinch
- Coriander Powder - 1/4 tbsp
- Oil - 1/4 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan and splutter mustard seeds.
Step 2
Then add onion and stir fry until onion become translucent.
Step 3
Add cabbage followed by 2 table spoon water to the above mixture and mix well.
Step 4
Cook for another 1 minute and add chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt to taste. Mix well and allow to cook in low flame for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Stir and check if any water is remaining to evaporate. If water is remaining, increase the flame and allow the water to evaporate.
Step 6
Now delicious, healthy Cabbage & onion stir fry (cabbage ularthiyathu) with less oil is ready to serve.
