Chicken Fry Recipe – ചിക്കൻ ഫ്രൈ – Using Eastern Chicken Fry Masala
Chicken Fry is a delicious and easy to make dish. The dish can be served as a starter or as a side dish with rice. For this fry, I am using Eastern Chicken Fry Masala.
The health benefits of this include its good supply of protein content, the supply of essential vitamins and minerals, benefits in losing weight, cholesterol control, blood pressure control etc. It is also rich in phosphorus which helps to maintain strong teeth and bones. The protein in this lends itself to muscle growth and development, and help support a healthy body weight and aid weight loss.
This is also abundant in selenium, an essential mineral involved in metabolic performance in other words thyroid, hormone, metabolism, and immune function.This is also happens to be rich in niacin, one particular B-vitamin that guards against cancer and other forms of genetic damage.

Ingredients
- Chicken - 500 gm
- Eastern chicken fry masala – 50 gm
- Ginger garlic paste - 3 tbsp
- Egg - 1 no
- Lemon juice – 2 tsp
- Curry leaves - few
- Coconut oil - 200 ml
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Clean the chicken with water and cut it into medium size pieces.
Step 2
Take a bowl add ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, egg, eastern chicken fry masala, salt and mix well.
Step 3
Marinate the chicken pieces with this masala and keep for minimum 30 minutes.
Step 4
Heat coconut oil in a pan and fry the chicken pieces, curry leaves in medium flame. Switch off the flame.
Step 5
When chicken is fried remove the chicken to a kitchen tissue and allow to drain all excess oil.
Step 6
Tasty Chicken Fry is ready.
