Chicken Peri Peri Recipe – Easy Chicken Recipe – പെരി പെരി ചിക്കൻ

Chicken Peri Peri is a spicy dish with roots in both Africa and Portugal. The dish was created in Angola and Mozambique when Portuguese settlers arrived with chilly peppers.

To prepare Chicken Peri Peri, the chicken needs to be marinated for atleast four hours before being grilled. The peri peri sauce is traditionally made with a fiery pepper from Africa called ‘pili’.

The word Peri Peri comes from the Swahili word Pili Pili which stands for pepper/spicy chilly. So this dish is normally most enjoyable as spicy. But you can always adjust the amount of chilly to suit your personal taste.
