Chicken Tikka Macaroni Recipe | Chicken tikka pasta is a fusion recipe between Europe and Indian Subcontinent. Having said that this is a very popular dish in Britain. The chicken tikka masala curry is consisting of marinated boneless chicken pieces traditionally made in a tandoor served in a tangy tomato flavored sauce.

Some believe that it was invented in the 1970s by a Bangladeshi chef in Glasgow, Scotland, who, in order to please a customer, added a mild tomato-cream sauce to his chicken tikka, which is pieces of boneless chicken marinated in yogurt and curry spices and served on a skewer, kebab-style. More likely, it derived from butter chicken, a popular dish in northern India. Some observers have called chicken tikka masala the first widely accepted example of fusion cuisine.

What is the difference with Macaroni  and pasta?

Macaroni is made of wheat flour while pasta can make with wheat, rice, legumes, and lentils. Macaroni is C-shaped while pasta comes in different size and varieties. Macaroni is more popular than pasta throughout the world. Macaroni can store for a long period, whereas pasta is perishable, storage time is less.

Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken - 1/2 Kg
  • Oil- 2tsp
  • Boiled Macaroni- 1 pack
  • onion
  • carrots
  • capsicum
  • cabbage
  • soya sauce- 2tsp
  • chilly garlic sauce- 1/2 cup
  • vinegar- 2tsp
  • ginger and garlic paste- 1tsp
  • black pepper- 1tsp
  • Salt
  • chicken tikka Masala-1 tsp
  • green onion

Method

Step 1

1. Greased the pan with oil an than add boneless chicken in it.

Step 2

2. Add 1 tsp of ginger and garlic paste to it.

Step 3

3. Then add the spices like 1tsp black pepper, 1-2 tsp chicken tikka masala and salt according to your taste and cook until done.

Step 4

4. After this sauté the veggies like onion, carrots, capsicum and cabbage in another pan.

Step 5

5. Then add 2tsp soya sauce and vinegar and 1/2 cup of chilly garlic sauce in the veggies and mix them well.

Step 6

6. Then add cooked chicken and boiled macaroni to the pan of veggies and mix all of them properly.

Step 7

7. Sprinkle the green onion on the cooked macaroni and serve it.
