Chilly Beef / Indo Chinese Style Recipe / Spicy Side Dish / ചില്ലി ബീഫ് is a hot and delicious dish which is very easy to prepare at home. Try out this lip smacking Indo Chinese side dish.
Beef is an excellent source of proteins, vitamins and minerals. It helps in red blood cell development, cognitive function, building muscle, maintaining a healthy weight etc. It also helps to prevent iron deficiency.
- Beef - 250 gm
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
- Pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Maida - 2 tbsp
- Corn Flour - 1 tbsp
- Dark Soya Sauce - 2 tbsp
- Red Chilly Sauce - 1 tbsp
- Tomato Sauce - 1 tbsp
- Green Chilly Sauce - 1 tbsp
- Green Chilly - 2 nos (chopped)
- Celery - 2 tsp (chopped)
- Spring Onion - 1 tsp (chopped)
- Ginger and Garlic - 1 tsp (chopped)
- Capsicum - 1/4 piece (cut into cubes)
- Onion - 1 no (cut into cubes)
- Egg - 1 no
- Vinegar - 1 tbsp
- Vegetable Oil - 5 tbsp
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Salt to taste
Clean and cut the beef into thin strips.
Take a bowl and add maida, cornflour, ginger garlic paste, egg, salt, pepper powder and make a thick batter by adding 1/4 cup of water. Add beef strips into it and marinate it for 10 minutes.
Heat a kadai and pour 4tbsp of vegetable oil and shallow fry the marinated beef. Keep this aside.
Heat a pan and add vegetable oil. Put chopped ginger, garlic, onion, green chilly, capsicum into it and cook for 3 minutes.
Add tomato sauce, soya sauce, red chilly sauce, green chilly sauce, vinegar, salt, shallow fried beef into it and cook for another 3 minutes. Switch off the flame.
Sprinkle it with chopped celery and spring onion.
Tasty Chilly Beef is ready.
