Chilly Gobi 65ย or Cauliflower 65ย is a very popular Indo-Chinese dish which we generally order in Restaurants.ย The main ingredient of this recipe is Cauliflower which is also known as Gobi.
Chilly Gobi 65ย is widely preferred due to its versatility as a snack that can be served as a starter or as an accompaniment for dinner. This isย a party hit recipe, for its attractive fiery redย ย colour & exotic taste. It is so easy to prepare & kids will love it.
Ingredients
- Cauliflower - 1 medium
- Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
- Corn flour - 4 tbsp
- Baking powder - a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil - 3 cup
- Red food colour - a pinch
- Maida - 1/2 cup
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Method
Step 1
Cut cauliflower into small florets and clean with water.
Step 2
In a pan, boil water and add little salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder. Add cauliflower florets into this and cook for about 5 minutes. Drain the water and keep it aside.
Step 3
In a bowl, add maida, cornflour, baking powder, chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, red food colour, salt and make a thick batter by adding enough water.
Step 4
Add the drained cauliflower into this batter and marinate for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Heat vegetable oil in a pan and deep fry the marinated cauliflower till it turns golden brown and crisp.
Step 6
Tasty Chilly Gobi 65 is ready to be served as a tea time snack or starter. Enjoy!!!
