Take a bowl then add maida, salt, sugar, egg and mix well. Add enough water to make it dough. Once the dough is ready, leave it for about 30 minutes. Divide the dough into small balls. Dust the balls and roll as thin as possible like chappathi. Using a knife, cut out stripes. Then cut again diagonally to get diamond shapes. Heat coconut oil in a pan in low-medium heat. Deep fry till the diamonds becomes crispy and the colour begin to turn golden, remove and strain it on a paper towel. Repeat this process for all the other pieces. How to make sugar syrup for Sweet Diamond Cuts:
Heat sugar with 1/2 cup of water. Let it boil till sugar melts. Add cardamom powder, mix well, reduce the flame and allow it to get into one thread consistency. Switch off the flame. How the Sweet Diamond Cuts Mix with sugar syrup:
