Easter eggs, also called Paschal eggs, are decorated eggs that are often given to celebrate Easter. Easter eggs have been associated with the Christian festival of Easter, which celebrates the resurrection of Christ. Traditionally Easter eggs were made with hen or duck eggs, decorated at home in bright colours using vegetable dye and charcoal.

Ingredients
- Eggs - 5 nos
- Water - 3 cup or to cover eggs
- Food colours
- Plastic ziploc sandwich bags - 4 nos
- Water - 2 tsp
Method
Step 1
Heat a pan add eggs to a boil over medium to high heat. Reduce heat and boil for 7 minutes. Remove from heat, place on lid that fits, and let eggs sit in the hot water for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Meanwhile set up some Ziploc bags with 1 tbsp of food coloring in it. When eggs are cool make little breaks in the shell and add it to the bag. Roll it around to evenly distribute the dye and let it rest for 30 minutes
Step 3
Take the eggs out of the bag and rinse thoroughly with water. Dry the eggs with paper towel.
Step 4
The colourful cracked Easter eggs is ready.
