Fish fingers are crispy & spicy snack. It is a popular snack in the world and A.K.A fish sticks. Fish fingers are extremely good in taste and the preparation time is less. It can be used as a teatime snack or nalumani palaharam. By serving this snack will definitely surprise the guests, friends and family members. It is a perfect healthy snack for kids and grown ups.

Consuming fish is good for the health. Eating plenty of fish on regular basis can protect from wide range of serious diseases. It is fully packed with vitamins, minerals and proteins. It is a major source of omega 3 fatty acids. Also helps to fight against cancer, depression, Alzheimer’s etc. It is good for the strong bones and muscles.

Fish fingers recipe | Homemade snacks recipe

Ingredients

  • Seer fish ( Neymeen ) - 500 g
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 & 1/2 tbsp
  • Vinegar - 1/2 tbsp
  • Pepper powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Lime juice - 1 tsp
  • Egg white - 2 nos ( beaten )
  • Bread crumbs - 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable oil - 2 cup ( for frying )

Method

Step 1

Clean the fish pieces with water and sliced into long thin finger like pieces.

Step 2

Marinate the fish pieces with ginger-garlic paste, 1/4 tsp of pepper powder and required salt. Keep aside for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Take another bowl and mix the vinegar with lime juice. Dip the fish pieces in the mixture of vinegar and lime juice. Keep aside for another 2 hours.

Step 4

Take the beaten egg white in a bowl and dip the fish in the egg white. Roll this marinated fish in bread crumbs.

Step 5

Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish fingers.

Step 6

Serve hot with tomato sauce or chilli sauce.
