Easy Fried Rice Recipe

Homemade Vegetable and Egg Fried Rice

Fried Rice is one of my favorite dish. I always prefer to order Fried Rice in any restaurant. If you know the basic fried rice recipe, you can add cooked minced chicken pieces to the rice and make Chicken fried rice, add eggs to the rice to make Egg fried rice, any veggies to make vegetable fried rice and also any seafood items to make even more delicious fried rice. You can even mix up vegetables, chicken and egg to make mixed fried rice.

All you want to know is to make the basic Fried Rice. For my fried rice I chose some vegetables and eggs.

This is a very simple and Easy Fried Rice Recipe which you can make so easily at home.

Ingredients

  • Basmati or long grain rice - 31/2 kg/ 5 Cups
  • Beans chopped - 200 gm
  • Carrot chopped - 200 gm
  • Eggs - 2
  • Onion chopped - 1 Big
  • Soya Sauce - 2 tbspn
  • Pepper powder - 11/2 tspn
  • Coconut Oil
  • Salt
  • Water

Method

Step 1

Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes and drain.

Step 2

In a bowl whisk eggs with little salt and pepper powder and keep aside.

Step 3

Cook the rice adding enough water and salt for 10 minutes and keep aside. Note: Make sure it is cooked well but not too sticky. Each grain should be separated from each other.

Step 4

Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions and saute till translucent.

Step 5

Now add chopped beans and carrots and stir fry for 3 minutes. Remove this and keep aside.

Step 6

In the same pan add little oil, add eggs and fry to scramble.

Step 7

Then add fried vegetable and onion mixture to the scrambled eggs.

Step 8

Now add pepper powder and salt.

Step 9

Add the cooked rice and mix. Now add soya sauce to this and mix everything well.

Step 10

Cook for 3 more minutes and remove from heat. Serve hot.
