A Fruit Salad is a dish made of various kinds of fresh fruits and it can be served as an appetizer, a side salad or a dessert. Common fruits we add in a fruit salad include pineapple, watermelon, grapes, strawberries, kiwifruit, honeydew etc.
Adding ice cream gives more flavor to this salad. Kids will also love this salad when it is mixed with their favorite ice cream. Fruit Salad offers many health benefits when it is included in one’s diet. Fresh fruit salad can help lower your blood pressure or maintain a healthy blood pressure, because most fruits are high in potassium and low in sodium.
Fresh fruit salad supplies other essential nutrients, such as vitamin C from citrus fruit, strawberries and kiwi and vitamin A from mangoes and melon. This salad preparation is more preferred to pregnant women for their better health.
In my salad, I have used tomatoes, watermelon, oranges and grapes. This is a visually stunning salad and the sweet tomatoes, oranges and watermelon meld together quite nicely. The kids don’t usually like tomato but amazingly they did when it was mixed with oranges and watermelon in this salad. It is an easy recipe to make and it is the best dish for a family party.
Try this salad recipe at your kitchen!
- Watermelon - 1 cup
- Orange - 1 cup
- Tomatoes - 2 nos
- Grapes - 10 nos
- Salt to taste
- Pepper crushed - a pinch
- Olive oil - 1 tsp
Clean and cut watermelon, tomato and orange.
Put everything together on a plate. Add grapes. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and drizzle with olive oil.
The tasty salad is ready to be served.
