Cucumber, White and Purple Cabbage Salad Recipe is a fresh, easy to make and extremely delicious recipe. There are two kinds of cabbage we use ; green and purple.
Cabbage is a great source of Vitamins K, C and Fiber. The Sulforaphane found in cabbage help protect against Cancer. This is possible due to the components in cabbage which stimulate detoxifying enzymes that remove Carcinogens created during metabolism. Purple cabbage has six times more antioxidants than white cabbage.There are many different ways to consume it, the easiest options to consume cabbage is to eat it raw or pickle it.
Cucumber, White and Purple Cabbage Salad Recipe is a simple spring salad with fresh cucumbers, shredded cabbage, tomatoes, red onion, mint leaves with a simple dressing. It’s great as a side dish with stewed beef, barbecued chicken or even grilled fish.
- White cabbage - 100 gm ( finely sliced )
- Red cabbage ( purple cabbage ) -100 gm ( finely sliced )
- Cucumber - 1 nos ( cut in to small pieces )
- Tomato - 1 nos
- Onion - 1 no
- Mint leaves - 1/4 cup
- Lime juice - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper Powder- a pinch
- Salt to taste
Clean the green cabbage, purple cabbage and slice it thinly.
Clean and cut the cucumber, onion, tomato into small pieces.
Add white cabbage, purple cabbage, tomato, cucumber and mint leaves into a large salad mixing bowl.
Add lime juice, salt, pepper powder into it and mix well. Keep this in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes and serve it chilled.
Tasty Cucumber, White and Purple Cabbage Salad is ready.
