Ingredients
- 1 cup Cauliflower cut into cubes
- To make the batter to fry the cauliflower :
- 1 Egg (to make eggless batter use 1/4 cup corn flour)
- 1/4 cup Maida
- 2 tsps of Ginger garlic paste
- 1tsp - Kashmiri chilly powder
- 10 tbsp Water
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- To make the gravy :
- 1 tbsp Ginger finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Garlic chopped
- 1 Onion cut into cubes
- 2 Green chillies cut into half
- 3 tbsp Tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp Soya sauce
- 1 tbsp Chilli sauce
- 1/4 tbsp Food color mixed in 6 spoons of water (Optional)
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Make a thick batter by mixing all the batter items.
Step 2
Add cauliflower to the batter and marinate for 1/2 an hour.
Step 3
Fry the cauliflower with the batter and keep aside.
Step 4
In the oil in which the cauliflower is batter fried sautƩ ginger-garlic paste and onion till the onion become translucent.
Step 5
At this stage you can add capsicum also if you want to.
Step 6
Then add sauce one by one and mix well. Add the fried cauliflower and green chilli's to this.
Step 7
Mix well and add food color dissolved in water.
Step 8
If you want more gravy, mix 2 spoons of corn flour in water and pour to the gravy and mix well.
Step 9
As a final step check the salt and adjust according to taste. Yummy Gopi Manchurian (cauliflower) is ready to serve. You can garnish with spring onions as per availability.
