A grape is a fruiting berry of the deciduous woody vines of the botanical genus described as Vitis. Vitis is a genus of about 600 species of vining plants in the flowering plant family vitaceae. Grapes can be eaten raw or they can be used for making jam, juice, jelly, wine, raisins etc.

Grape juice is obtained from crushing and blending grapes in to a liquid. This grape juice is very low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium.  It is also a very good source of vitamin C and vitamin K. Drinking grape juice daily helps in lowering blood pressure. Grape juice has anti-aging properties and it also helps to reduce weight.

Just drink a glass of freshly prepared black grape juice and it will boost your energy level within minutes as it is high in iron. This juice is delicious and easy to prepare. Black grapes are good sources of fiber and this juice is a healthy refreshing drink during summer.

Ingredients

  • Black grapes - 500gm
  • Sugar - 2 cups
  • Water - 4 cups

Method

Step 1

Wash the grapes thoroughly in water.

Step 2

Take a big pan boil the grapes with water for 5 minutes.Then add sugar and mix well. Grind this in a mixer and strain the juice.

Step 3

Keep the juice in refrigerator. Refreshing grape juice is ready. Serve chilled.
