Green Peas curry with egg is very tasty to have with rice, chapati, bread, etc. Green Peas curry is a traditional Indian recipe that is very easy to prepare.

Green Peas Curry with Egg recipe | ഗ്രീൻപീസ് കറി recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup - Chopped tomato
  • 1/4 tbsp - Ginger paste
  • 1/4 tbsp - Garlic paste
  • Green Chilli - 2 Nos
  • Red Chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/4 tbsp
  • Fennel seed powder - 1/4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coconut oil - 3 tbsp
  • Warm water - 1/4 cup

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a thick bottomed vessel.

Step 2

Saute onions followed with ginger - garlic paste, tomato & green chilli.

Step 3

Once these ingredients become translucent add fennel seed powder followed by red chilly powder, turmeric powder & coriander powder to onion mixture. Mix everything and saute well.

Step 4

Reduce flame & allow the gravy to cook for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Add 1/4 cup water (add more if required) to gravy & mix well. Now the gravy will become thick watery mixture.

Step 6

Add cooked green peas to the gravy & mix well.

Step 7

Add required salt as per your taste and allow the gravy & green peas to cook for 5 minutes in a low flame.

Step 8

After 5 minutes break egg directly into gravy & scramble them in the gravy itself.

Step 9

Allow to cook for another 5 more minutes. Add salt if required.

Step 10

Tasty Green peas masala with scrambled egg is ready to serve. Enjoy the dish with roti, bread or rice.
