Ingredients
Cut the idlis into small cubes. Take a bowl and add 1/4 tsp of cornflour and 2 tsp of water and mix well, Take another bowl, mix maida, 2 & 3/4 tsp of cornflour, salt, ginger-garlic paste, red chilly powder and water to make a thick paste. Dip the idli pieces into this batter. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and add the idli pieces into the hot oil and deep fry till it turns lightly brown colour. Drain the excess oil with a tissue paper. Then heat oil in a pan and add chopped garlic, ginger and saute for a minute. Add onion, green chillies, capsicum, spring onion, celery and saute for 4 minutes. Then add soya sauce, tomato sauce, green chilly sauce, vinegar, salt and mix well in high flame. Reduce the flame and add cornflour mixture and red food colour to it and mix well. Add fried idlis, pepper powder and stir well. Garnish with spring onions and celery. Yummy Idli Manchurian is ready to serve.Method
